Lawrence Williams
Founder
Lawrence is a technology entrepreneur and angel investor whose career has included leadership, advisory, and consulting roles with pioneering companies including SpaceX, Zipline, Tesla Motors, Palantir, and Teledesic. He founded Capture10 to help clients navigate the intersection of technology, government, markets, strategy, and capital—and turn ambitious ideas into scalable ventures with real-world impact.
In 2020, Lawrence founded Merlin Mobility, applying artificial intelligence, computer vision, and sensor fusion to make driving safer and more accessible. Previously, he helped lead global market development for Zipline, an autonomous logistics company operating drone-based delivery systems around the world.
Earlier, as one of SpaceX’s earliest executives, Lawrence helped grow the company into a major commercial launch provider. During his tenure, SpaceX built a multibillion-dollar contracted revenue base and secured foundational roles in NASA’s commercial cargo and crew development programs. Lawrence also served as an advisor to Tesla Motors.
Before joining SpaceX, Lawrence held senior leadership roles at Teledesic—the satellite communications venture backed by Craig McCaw and Bill Gates—and ICO Global Communications.
Lawrence began his career in Washington, D.C., where he served as a special assistant to the administrator of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration, a member of a presidential transition team supporting the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, and a legislative assistant to U.S. Representative Ray Thornton on the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and an MBA with honors from Georgetown University. A three-time Ironman triathlete, Lawrence is passionate about nutrition, exercise, and health. He also co-founded Eat REAL and serves as a board member emeritus.
